My Ridiculous Sister

Okay so it’s been a while since I have been told this story, but all I remember is that I could not stop laughing when my ridiculous sister just kept throwing more embarrassing moments on top of one another. Let’s begin…. My sister and her best friend in the country go out to party frequently enough to crash at each other’s apartments when need be, or whenever to continue the after party. Unfortunately for my sister, her friend is an avid smoker, exerciser and energetic first thing in the morning. Unlike my sister (and myself) she is quite a sloth every morning, whether it was a late night or not and staying overnight with an early bird can be quite unpleasant. After a good evening with friends, my sister awakes to hard core dance party music and second hand smoke filling the air around seven in the morning. I remember the day that my sister returned from Egypt. My mother and I were waiting for her at the airport terminal when the last person out was a little munchkin covered in a makeshift headscarf and headed straight for the toilet – my ridiculous sister. It was her first time in a non-western country and by the time she returned the thing she valued most was that porcelain shrine. Even if there was no need to visit the washroom, she went, just because she could. Never had she been anywhere before that planning a pee break was mandatory and never again has she let us forget it. Four years later is the next time I really spend more time with her than a few weeks. I am aware of her annoying necessity of using every toilet possible, yet do not let it bother me.
